I have had the privilege of doing photojournalism around the world for the past 40 years, but my current assignment in rural China has been one of the most enriching and rewarding life experiences ever. Putting legally purchased Bibles into the hands of Chinese Christians has been extraordinary. The reactions have been overwhelming joy by those receiving the Bibles, and also a good number of the church members openly wept, sometimes rather intensely, that their dream of having their own Bible was now a reality. They treated us like heroes – This doesn’t get any better.

I have never seen such smiles, and you captured them so beautifully. Living in the Wheaton bubble that we do, it’s easy to become complacent, but these Chinese believers are anything but. The gal in purple is my favorite!
To literally lay the Word of God into the hands of those so eagerly accepting of it, especially the children. The photos say it all – they are awesome, and the smiles touch the heart all the way from China to Texas! I know God is smiling, too!!
I agree that your marvelous photos (and the youtube video I watched) communicate volumes! Praise God that He continues to use you in such a way. Welcome Home!
